My Signature Aged-Wood Technique

  I frequently get asked how I do Reduniture's signature aged-wood look...don't get too excited I'm not revealing my secret!  Anyway, it is a specialized technique that I do on solid wood pieces.  It gives the look of old, aged wood (hence the name!) without all of the stink and crumbling of old wood.  My technique gives different shades of the wood which causes light spots and dark "aged" spots.  The finish is 100% different every time which makes my finished pieces that much more unique.  It almost has that "Pottery Barn-esc" look to it.

My most current piece is a perfect example of my signature technique.  This is what it looked like before...

  This piece was BEAT up! Which is good but it was in desperate need of some Reduniture love.  After my technique the top was re stained and now looks like this:

  It brings out the life, character and all the imperfections of the wood.  It also gives an updated look to the coffee table and adding the red is a perfect way to add a pop of color to the room.  Here are a few other pieces I have done with Reduniture's signature aged-wood technique.

{ The Barn }

{ Black Widow }

{ Mini Farmhouse Table }

{ Susan Party of 4 }

{ White Farmhouse Table }
