In the spirit of the
upcoming holiday, Valentine's Day, I thought this scrumptious spotlight was
more than appropriate! All Things Exquisite is
local baker in the Salt Lake City area who has some serious baking skills AND
art skills. I chose to do this company solely based on the { exquisite }, yes
totally appropriate word, design of her cookies.
Jen, owner of All Things Exquisite,
started baking cakes from scratch at the at the young age of 8 learning recipes
from 1950s cookbooks. She was and is inspired by her late grandmother who was
always her loudest cheerleader. Can't you just imagine a little girl having a
tea party while enjoying a good book?....an old cookbook? How cute, right?!! In
February of 2011 her cookies were officially on the market on Etsy and
her first batch sold in just 20 minutes. From there it just took off!
Not only are her cookies beautifully
hand painted but they are DELICIOUS! Jen sent me a sample (pictured left) and
it was scrumptious. It had a short bread taste with a hint of almond. It was
soft with just the right amount of frosting.....not 3 inches high! The icing
had just the right amount of sweetness and I didn't feel like I had a cavity
right after eating it. Now I am no food connoisseur but I LOVE cookies and this
was no disappointment. The reason her cookies are so good is that they are made
with only 6 ingredients...and love. There aren't any scary ingredients that you
can't pronounce and she uses locally milled flour. Prices start at just
$25/dozen and goes up depending on intricacy, custom cookie cutter making (how
awesome is that!) and hand painting. How amazing would these cookies be for a
bridal shower, baby shower, special gift....or just because!
OK....BEST PART.... Jen has decided to
give all Reduniture clients a 20% discount on anything in her shop! Just use
the coupon code REDUNITURE when you check out. You can shop her Etsy site at http://www.etsy.com/shop/AllThingsExquisite
. Also "LIKE" her facebook page and tell her Reduniture
sent you. While your there
make sure you browse her portfolio, she is so talented and creative.
