Spotlight: All Things Exquisite ... and a discount!

In the spirit of the upcoming holiday, Valentine's Day, I thought this scrumptious spotlight was more than appropriate! All Things Exquisite is local baker in the Salt Lake City area who has some serious baking skills AND art skills. I chose to do this company solely based on the { exquisite }, yes totally appropriate word, design of her cookies.

Jen, owner of All Things Exquisite, started baking cakes from scratch at the at the young age of 8 learning recipes from 1950s cookbooks. She was and is inspired by her late grandmother who was always her loudest cheerleader. Can't you just imagine a little girl having a tea party while enjoying a good book?....an old cookbook? How cute, right?!! In February of 2011 her cookies were officially on the market on Etsy and her first batch sold in just 20 minutes. From there it just took off!

Not only are her cookies beautifully hand painted but they are DELICIOUS! Jen sent me a sample (pictured left) and it was scrumptious. It had a short bread taste with a hint of almond. It was soft with just the right amount of frosting.....not 3 inches high! The icing had just the right amount of sweetness and I didn't feel like I had a cavity right after eating it. Now I am no food connoisseur but I LOVE cookies and this was no disappointment. The reason her cookies are so good is that they are made with only 6 ingredients...and love. There aren't any scary ingredients that you can't pronounce and she uses locally milled flour. Prices start at just $25/dozen and goes up depending on intricacy, custom cookie cutter making (how awesome is that!) and hand painting. How amazing would these cookies be for a bridal shower, baby shower, special gift....or just because!

OK....BEST PART.... Jen has decided to give all Reduniture clients a 20% discount on anything in her shop! Just use the coupon code REDUNITURE when you check out. You can shop her Etsy site at http://www.etsy.com/shop/AllThingsExquisite . Also "LIKE" her facebook page and tell her Reduniture sent you. While your there make sure you browse her portfolio, she is so talented and creative.

Spotlight: Vintage Green Limited

Vintage Green Limited

Vintage Green Limited started in a Salt Lake City basement with a sketch book, pencil and the love of nature; birds in particular.  Jenn, owner of Vintage Green Limited, sketched birds for about a year and then decided to bring her drawings to life.  She took her drawings and made a pattern.  She then took her custom pattern and added some vintage fabrics to really bring her birds to life as cake toppers, ring bearer pillows and accent pillows.

I found her shop browsing the local Etsy one day and her products really stuck out to me.  I love the organicness (not sure if that's a word but you know me; always making them up!) the cake toppers have and the perfectly imperfect wire heart feet.  Many of her fabrics are vintage but as the demand for her love birds has grown her vintage fabric supply has dwindled.  She has started incorporating current fabrics into her love birds but with that same vintage style.
Jenn truly enjoys seeing others enjoy her product. Whether it be on their wedding day or birthday.  That is reward enough for her.  Now you might think her custom cake toppers and ring bearer pillows are extremely over priced because everything else for a wedding is but OH NO...Her price range is so incredible reasonable at $39 - $49!  Her products are only available on her Etsy site or you can contact her through facebook

Make sure you "LIKE" her facebook page and tell her { Reduniture } sent you!

Last Spotlight Of The Year!

Up in the Sky CreationS
o ur last spotlight of 2011 is here!!! And it couldn't be a better one.  If you are obsessed with feathers like I am you will be so PUMPED to have a new BFF.  Up in the Sky Creations was created by Shanna in sunny CA.  She is the "pregnant and barefoot, live off the land" kinda girl!...Seriously, that's a direct quote from her when we met up for some yummy wine recently.  She is inspired by nature, her beautiful girls... and as a true hippie, music!
I have been wanting to spotlight her because her pieces are a mix of natural elements, leather, hemp and metal.  She puts her pieces together very well and uberly chic...Not sure if "uberly" is a word but neither WAS Reduniture..until now!  Everyone did/does the feather extension in their hair but not the single earring feather hair extension.  I bought a gray feathered one with silver chain and a gorgeous leaf-like charm at the end. I have worn it a ton already and every time I wear it I get asked "where did you get that" and receive TONS of compliments.

See how the single earring feather hair extension just peaks through?  I LOVE that she thought to add charms and beads to them too.  I have long hair so it looks AMAZING with the feathers, chain and charm that randomly peeks out throughout the day.  Best of all....HER PRICES!  Honestly, any of her pieces would be a great present to give or have as they are under $20.  All you need is one piece to accessorize your entire outfit!  I can't say it enough about the uniqueness of each piece......I haven't even gotten to her headband yet though!!!!  These are so TDF (to die for)!

Everyone thinks hemp and leather headbands are only for hippies but that's what makes her stuff so amazing!  You can pull off a leather feather headband with skinny jeans, heels and an over sized sweater like ... { snap } that!  I actually wore my leather and cobalt blue { fav color } feather headband to my family's Thanksgiving dinner with leggings, boots and a stripped cardigan/sweater.  So basically you NEED to go to her etsy site (buy local!...or at least support a crafter!), browse and BUY!....Insiders tip...she "may" be adding new headbands very soon to her etsy page too!...ok I just spoke with her=)

All pictures and pieces were created by Shanna, designer of Up in the Sky Creations.
You may contact myself or her for more information.

Our first Spotlight!

Bree Ellen Gowers Photography

Bree: his honey and her mommy. This week's spotlight is Bree Gowers from
Bree Ellen Gowers Photography!  She took my family pictures and I have to admit, I wasn't really looking forward to them.  The whole matchy-matchy "we are all wearing white shirts and denim" isn't my style.  I'm the more "look, here we are camping, or at a Rockies game",...that type of thing.  But OMG....I am in LOVE with the pictures she took.  They turned out way better than I even imagined!  We were on a time limit (I have a feisty 2 year-old little girl!) and she wasted no time snapping away.

We met at a mutually convenient spot (the oh so popular Wheeler Farm) and she already had her vision of the shoot and knew where to go.  I pretty much told her to do her thing and use us as her muses....I'm pretty easy-going!  She placed us where needed, told us where to look and took charge!...In a nice way=)

I am telling you that this girl knows her stuff!  She is up date on the latest and greatest editing tools and styles, has endless talent, and her prices, ohhh her prices!  They are so affordable for any budget!  Now is the time to get your family pictures taken for all those Christmas cards so CALL BREE!  You won't be disappointed.  Here are a few of my favorites of my family!
