Spotlight: Vintage Green Limited

Vintage Green Limited

  Vintage Green Limited started in a Salt Lake City basement with a sketch book, pencil and the love of nature; birds in particular.  Jenn, owner of Vintage Green Limited, sketched birds for about a year and then decided to bring her drawings to life.  She took her drawings and made a pattern.  She then took her custom pattern and added some vintage fabrics to really bring her birds to life as cake toppers, ring bearer pillows and accent pillows.

  I found her shop browsing the local Etsy one day and her products really stuck out to me.  I love the organicness (not sure if that's a word but you know me; always making them up!) the cake toppers have and the perfectly imperfect wire heart feet.  Many of her fabrics are vintage but as the demand for her love birds has grown her vintage fabric supply has dwindled.  She has started incorporating current fabrics into her love birds but with that same vintage style.
  Jenn truly enjoys seeing others enjoy her product. Whether it be on their wedding day or birthday.  That is reward enough for her.  Now you might think her custom cake toppers and ring bearer pillows are extremely over priced because everything else for a wedding is but OH NO...Her price range is so incredible reasonable at $39 - $49!  Her products are only available on her Etsy site or you can contact her through facebook

{ DIY Personalized Subway Art }

   A great way to fill up wall space is by adding art....personalized art!  This is a piece I created using a variety of fonts, sizes and verbage.  Our verbage is all the different cities across the states we have lived in!  It has the places my husband and I were born, our current city, the city we met in, each city we grew up in, where we went on our honeymoon and a few of our favorite cities.  Who doesn't LOVE Vegas?!

   Now you don't have to be a fantastic artist (I'm not) to do this.  If you can't free hand the letters then you can use a projector.  A local library should have one you can borrow so you just have to take your board with you there (they don't let you check them out).  You can use Power Point to add your text.  You can use a variety of fonts, sizes and text directions...just play around with it and have fun!  I paint my board before the lettering and then distress that baby and stain on top to make it look old.  You can't really mess it up by sanding too much, staining too dark or even uneven lettering!  That's just the way it's supposed to be, right?....perfectly imperfect!

   Personalized art also makes great gifts.  I did the board below for my dear friends.  In their board I mixed it all up.  It has their 3 pets' names in there, where they met, each state they are from and the day they got married (looks like a license plate!), their names and the streets they grew up on.

{ Rustoria }

{ Rustoria } started like this......

plain, boring and outdated.  Reduniture transformed it into this...

Restored and rustic!  Beautifully completed with Reduniture's signature aged-wood technique on the table top and base to create that old world feeling on a sturdy piece! That is set against rustic red ladder back chairs and table legs which are perfectly glazed in a dark brown.....gorgeous!

2012 Local Artist Spotlighters

  Reduniture wants to help out other local (not only local to us!) artists spread the word about their product and/or services!  Us artists have to stay to together and help promote each others businesses.  It's time to defer people away from the Wal-Marts and America's Furniture Warehouse into our businesses and buy our products!

  If you are a local artist creating jewelry, sewing aprons, creating soaps (for you, KARIE!), have services to help people or you are a local crafter selling whatever creations come to mind, then we want to SPOTLIGHT you!  Spotlights are a shout out every other Tuesday and I will review your website, blog or facebook and then sum up your product or services right here!!!  I will also create a links here and on my facebook page to your website, blog and/or facebook page too.  All you have to do is return the favor!  Just link us on your website, blog or facebook page and let's grow our products together.

  You don't have to be local to us as we have clients all over the states!  So no matter if you sell out of San Fransisco, Chicago or even Buford, Wyoming you can still be a spotlighter!
