  I decided to go a bit more modern on this large dresser but still keeping that Reduniture style.  I finished this piece in a crisp white then added the dark gray double pin stripe detailing.  It's clean and fresh yet still has that vintage kinda feel. 

  This piece has a large storage area in the middle so I had to through in my pop color.  I chose a jewel-toned turquoise to add some more character to this piece.  If your were to use this piece as a buffet, it would be ideal for storing large bowls and platters in there.  If you were to use this as a TV stand, you could add some baskets to hold your DVDs or blankets.  If used as a dresser, you could store your winter clothes or summer clothes in there with or without baskets......just endless I tell ya'!

  Here's what the piece looked like before...in really good shape, HEAVY, and chunky true vintage hardware.  It just lacked personality....and Reduniture style;) 

The New Plant Stand!

So a while back I got this idea from another piece I had seen.  I liked the "idea" of what they had done but had to put my spin on it (no copy kat here!!)  I want the plant to sit directly in the chair and I knew I wanted the chair to look weathered, worn and old....

  I went to work with some tools and elbow grease and this is what I ended up with!!  I knew I had to do a bright, vibrant pop color seeming how it would be used outside and as an accent piece.  I LOVE this bright aqua color for outdoors because it's a focal color and adds the blue hue to the garden area. 

  I beat up and weathered this chair to give the appeal that it had been sitting outside for years.  The best part about it is that every year it will get more and more authentically weathered baking in our hot Utah sun.  

 

  This chair includes the planter which can be replanted every year or taken indoors.  The geranium is pretty hardy in the container so regular pruning will due.  It would also look cool to put succulents in the container!  Would be ideal for your garden, deck or patio or on your porch.

Cradle Refined

  So I have had this cradle in my stash for quite some time now and FINALLY got to it! This cradle had great bones and shape so I knew it would look beautiful in almost any color.  I decided to go two toned on this piece with a creamy off-white cradle and a rich espresso brown stand finished in Reduniture's signature aged-wood technique. 

 
  I authentically distressed the cradle heavily to really amplify the spindles and shape of it.  The heavily distressed cradle looks classic against the aged-wood stand.  It creates a classic yet modern piece. 

  This piece is gender neutral and color neutral too.  It would fit in with any color scheme yet would still be a focal point.  Take a look at what the cradle looked like before....out dated, boring and just typical.

  This rad little desk was finished in a creamy tan and then authentically distressed around the drawer fronts and bottom moldings.  The distressing was done very, very subtly but enough to show off the shape.  The top was finished with Reduniture's Signature Aged-Wood Technique and highlighted with a custom stain I mixed.  This really amplified the top and gave it tons of depth.  

  As you can see below, we kept the old hardware and sprayed them in an oil rubbed bronze.  I didn't like the look of the knobs before because it just looked too busy, but I LOVE them now.  They added a lot of character to the desk and gave it a slight nautical feel.

  First things first!  The name...this piece had 'Dustin' carved into it on the top right in the middle.  When I first saw it, the first thing that came to my mind was some girl carved her boyfriend's name on it.  Is this true, I don't know but that is how this piece got it's name. 

   Okay, now for the details!  This piece has been finished in a creamy tan and subtly distressed around the corners and molding.  This really makes the detailed molding pop!  The top has been finished in Reduniture's Signature Aged-Wood Technique  and then hand carved to give the illusion of individual wood planks.  This adds so much depth and character to this timeless piece. 

  9 drawer dresser / buffet / TV stand / sideboard / totally rad piece is super versatile.  There are 3 drawers behind the door that fits DVDs perfectly!
